व्याख्या :  पढ़ना लिखना अभियान चंबा, किन्नौर, कुल्लू, लाहुल-स्पीति, मंडी और सिरमौर जिला में शुरू किया गया है। हिमाचल में वर्ष 2025 तक हर व्यक्ति को साक्षर बनाने की मुहिम के तहत प्रदेश के छह जिलों में एक लाख लोगों को साक्षर बनाने का टारगेट पूरा हो गया है। इस योजना के तहत 15 से 80 वर्ष की आयु तक के लोगों को शामिल किया जा रहा है।  वर्ष 2011 की जनगणना के अनुसार प्रदेश की साक्षरता दर 82.80 फीसदी है। इसमें 89.53 फीसदी पुरुष और 75.93 फीसदी महिला साक्षरता दर है। इसके लिए केंद्र सरकार ने 2.51 करोड़ का बजट मिला है। 90:10 के अनुपात में हिमाचल को यह बजट मिला है। 2.25 करोड़ केंद्र सरकार ने दिया है वही 26 लाख रुपए प्रदेश का हिस्सा होगा।

Explanation: A postage stamp has been issued in the name of great poet and famous freedom fighter Devidas Gulzar from Nadaun and Narpat Singh Patial of Bafdi (Lambalu).
